Wheelhouse is a male barbershop quartet that hails from the Mid-Atlantic District. These young powerhouses know how to rip the top off of a chord or two! They are locking and ringing on Greg Volk’s “Anytime” and Bob Rund’s arrangement of “A Wink and a Smile” - hold on to your hat! This CD stands up to the works of any number of champions. They spread their wings on Gene Cokecroft’s “I’m Confessin’ (That I Love You),” even managing to slip in a little percussive motion as well as a way-low bass note - very cool! Chord lovers will adore what they do with “How High The Moon” (one of two Ruby Rhea charts), and if you know the standard tag on “When I Leave The World Behind,” you’ll enjoy their extra twist that closes out the CD. Quite wonderful! (39:12 2005)
